This week’s hero is Teah Fensom

We’ve rewarded Teah with a Bathurst Drive!

Wow, we were blown away by the nominations for “Young Aussie” Heroes this week.

Teah, this week’s standout at just 21 years, already has a history of community contribution and was nominated by both her neighbour Chris and mother Lisa. She receives the Valvoline “Never Idle” V8 drive at Bathurst. Scroll down for the list of this week’s finalists.

If driving a V8 at Bathurst is on your bucket list, this week is the time to tick it off!

In summary, the Aussie Heroes campaign has confirmed how so many Australians have shined throughout a challenging 2020. Thank you to all the nominators describing people leading by example. Just to be nominated is something to be proud of. I know those in our team who assisted in selecting the winners were super-impressed by all of the uplifting stories. In the words of Winston Churchill “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

Lisa’s nomination of Teah Fensom

Hi, I am nominating my daughter Teah. My girl is 21 works full time, recently purchased her own home (yes at 21) is driven and goal orientated, but still makes time to help out in the community, she always goes above and beyond for anyone she knows and doesn’t know. She has and continues to organise donation drives, food runs to feed people in need, makes blessing bags for the homeless ( including clean blankets food etc), collects and donates non perishables to charities like Mama lana’s. She is a Starlight volley donating time to raise money to make the dreams of sick kids become a reality. Since the age of 10 Teah has always shown her desire to help, donating $700 in birthday money to the Haiti foundation, raising money at 13 for the Heart foundation. She collects stationary and non battery operated toys to take to less fortunate countries when she holidays overseas. Teah is a positive role model for younger people associated with her as they get to see that if you work hard you can succeed, but you must also stay humble and assist where possible to help bring love and support to those in need. I have attached some photos of my daughter in action : from making xmas blessing bags for homeless, doing hot food runs, volunteering for Starlight and doing drop offs to the RFS. As a Mum I couldn’t be prouder of my Daughter.
